Dining
Dining at Doubles, a Harbour Island villa with a private chef, is tailored to each guest’s preferences. Our chef, Isabella, thoughtfully prepares each meal, regularly incorporating herbs and produce from the property’s on-site vegetable garden. With a variety of indoor and alfresco dining areas, guests can choose from a range of settings—whether a relaxed breakfast, a shaded lunch with an ocean breeze, or a more formal evening meal.
At the heart of the home, the kitchen functions both as a professional workspace for Isabelle and a welcoming, informal gathering space for guests. Fully equipped with a Wolf range and steam oven, Sub-Zero refrigeration, and everything needed for both everyday meals and more elaborate dining, it is designed to be both highly functional and effortlessly relaxed.
Just beyond, the breakfast nook offers a quieter setting for morning coffee or a casual bite, often becoming a natural gathering spot throughout the day. The adjacent pantry and coffee bar are stocked in advance based on your preferences, with a Jura Z10 coffee machine for everything from a simple espresso to more elaborate drinks.
Guests may also choose to dine on the east porch, where open views toward the ocean and a soft, constant breeze set the atmosphere. This area offers a natural transition between indoors and out, with both comfortable lounge seating and a dining table suited to long, relaxed meals.
The elegant indoor dining room features a long, extendable table, thoughtful island-inspired décor, and expansive ocean views, offering a beautifully considered setting for indoor dining at any time of day.
Just off the living room, the bar naturally becomes a focal point in the evenings, whether for a pre-dinner cocktail or something more casual.
The pool house also includes its own kitchen and bar area, offering additional flexibility for entertaining and a sense of independence for guests staying there.
Together, these spaces allow dining to feel varied and considered throughout the day, with each setting offering its own distinct atmosphere while remaining effortlessly connected to the rhythm of the home. Throughout your stay, our chef Isabelle and house manager James are there to thoughtfully cater to your dining preferences, ensuring each meal feels both personal and seamless.
Dining Out
Harbour Island has an unusually strong dining scene for a small island, and part of the fun is that each place has its own personality. Some are best for a long lunch that extend well into the afternoon, some are perfect for dinner, and others feel right for a more special evening out.
James and Isabella are always happy to guide you based on what you’re in the mood for and can make reservations as needed. During busy times of year, we strongly recommend booking ahead.
The Landing
The Landing is one of the island’s most iconic restaurants. Set in a beautifully restored colonial-style house, it feels intimate, warm, and distinctly Harbour Island. Many guests like to begin with a drink in the signature red bar before settling in for dinner on the veranda or in the garden.
It is a wonderful choice for a special evening. It’s also excellent for breakfast or brunch, and one of the nicest ways to start the day at a slower pace.
Sip Sip
Sip Sip is a true Harbour Island institution. It has long been part of the rhythm of the island and, even in its new location, still carries that familiar appeal. It is best approached with a relaxed mindset and a sense of fun.
Classics like the lobster quesadilla and chicken curry salad are part of the experience, and it remains one of those places people are always happy they visited.
The Dunmore
The Dunmore is one of the most versatile spots on the island and works equally well for lunch or dinner. Set right on the beach, it has the kind of understated style that Harbour Island does so well—polished but never fussy.
It is an easy place to settle in for a long lunch, but it is also lovely in the evening when the atmosphere becomes more relaxed and romantic.
Coral Sands
Coral Sands is one of the loveliest beachfront settings on the island and feels especially right for lunch, though dinner can also be very nice. The recent refresh has given it a polished, old-school resort elegance that suits the location beautifully.
Lunch on the deck feels about as close to dining on the beach as you can get.
The Ocean View
The Ocean View has a creative, boutique feel and offers a very pretty setting overlooking the beach and ocean. It’s a lovely choice when you want something stylish, relaxed, and a touch more tucked away.
The Rock House
The Rock House is fabulously designed, chic, and consistently appealing for dinner. It is one of the best choices when you want something a little more dressed up without losing the relaxed spirit of the island.
Acquapazza Wine Bar & Ristorante
Acquapazza is fun, lively, and casual in a way that makes it especially appealing for families or relaxed group dinners. It has more energy than some of the quieter spots and is often exactly the right choice when the mood is less formal.
Da Vine Sushi
Da Vine is one of the most popular spots on the island and one of the most pleasant surprises for first-time visitors. The sushi is genuinely very good, and the atmosphere is lively and social.
Malcom 51 at Pink Sands
Malcolm 51 is refined without being formal and works well for both couples and families. There is a calm, classic quality to it that makes it a dependable and elegant dinner option.
The Blue Bar at Pink Sands
The Blue Bar has its own distinct atmosphere and is well worth treating as separate from Malcolm 51. Overlooking the beach, it is one of those places where lunch can quietly turn into a long afternoon.
BAR480 at Briland Club
Located across from Doubles, BAR480 is as convenient as it gets. It’s an easy place to stop in for a drink or a casual meal and often has a fun, social atmosphere in the evenings.
Valentine’s Resort
A reliable and convenient option, particularly if you are near the marina. It’s a good place to keep in mind for an easy meal before or after being on the water, and works especially well on boating days when convenience matters.
Sweet Spot Café
Despite the name, Sweet Spot is actually one of the better places on the island for lighter, healthier options. It’s especially good for fresh juices and simple, clean meals when you’re looking for something that feels a bit more balanced.
Cocoa Coffee House
Perfect when all you want is a good coffee or a quick breakfast without much fuss. It’s an easy stop in the morning, and calling ahead to place your order can save time and make it even more convenient.
Arthur’s Bakery
Arthur’s is a tradition on Harbour Island and one of those places that quickly becomes part of the routine. Whether you stop in for breakfast, pick up pastries, or grab something to take away, it always feels like a good idea. The bread is often still warm, and the sticky buns are very hard to resist.
Queen Conch
A must-visit. Fresh conch salad made to order, casual and authentic. It’s part of the experience to order it exactly how you like it—just be ready to match the energy and speak up a bit when ordering. Cash only.
